The journey continues to Namiri Plains, a remote corner of the eastern Serengeti known for its exceptional big cat sightings, particularly cheetahs roaming the open plains.
Moving northward to Sayari, you’ll be perfectly positioned to witness the Great Migration when the herds are in the area. Your safari concludes with three nights at Erebero Hills, where the ancient landscapes and rich wildlife offer a fitting Ugandan finale to your expedition.

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a friendly driver who will transfer you to Legendary Lodge. Here, you’ll be staying in the tranquil setting of a working coffee plantation at the foothills of Mount Meru. Relax with a restorative massage or enjoy a quiet moment in your comfortable and secluded cottage after your journey.
After a delicious breakfast, drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to Seronera Airstrip in the magnificent Serengeti National Park. Here, you will be met by an Asilia representative and driven to Namiri Plains.
The Serengeti is famous for its superb wildlife and playing host to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the Great Migration. From your secluded accommodation at Namiri Plains you can explore this prime wildlife region on game drives and walking safaris in the company of a well-trained and knowledgeable guide. The area around Namiri Plains is renowned for exceptional sightings of big cats.
When you’re not out experiencing this wilderness, relax with a massage or lounge beside the pool and enjoy the warm African sun.
Head to the airstrip this morning for your flight to Kogatende Airstrip in the northern Serengeti, where you’ll be staying at Sayari Camp. This region of the Serengeti is the perfect place to experience the Great Migration between July and October, particularly the dramatic river crossings.
Outside of migration season, the wildlife viewing around Sayari is exceptional and can be enjoyed on game drives and even from camp. When you’re not out seeing the multitude of animals that the Serengeti is known for, spend time at the swimming pool, indulge in a massage at the spa, or simply sit on your veranda enjoying the sounds of the bush.

This morning, you’ll head back to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe and then on to Kihihi Airstrip. An Asilia representative will await you to transfer you to the newest Asilia camp – Erebero Hills.
Erebero Hills’ location is ideal for gorilla trekking, with easy access to two gorilla trekking departure points in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a day hiking the hills in search of gorillas to observe, ease any sore muscles with a decadent massage.
Get to know the local Batwa people and their intricate relationship with the plants found within Bwindi that form an integral part of their culture.
Enjoy breakfast as you take in the magical views of the forest from Erebero Hills before you return to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe where you can board your international flight home after a memorable East African safari.
